Spring poems

Subjects > English

We used our senses to write Spring poems.

Here are some examples!

Spring Sense Poem by Sam Whelan
I see a lot of very colourful flowers in spring.
I hear the beautiful birds singing, spring is here.
I smell the lovely, white snowdrops.
I taste the lovely pancakes on Pancake Tuesday.
I touch the lovely chocolate on Valentine's Day.

Spring Sense Poem by Seán Cox
I see horses on the farm getting fed.
I hear the sizziling pancakes on Pancake Tuesday.
I taste chocolate eggs at Easter.
I smell the chocolate eggs at Easter.
I touch the nice horses on the farm.

Spring Sense Poem by Lee O'Reilly
I see a tree and insects in a tree.
I hear a dog and puppies and a cow.
I smell the flowers.
I taste pancakes and cake.
I touch a tree and a leaf.

Spring Sense Poem by Maciej Labuzek
I see lots of tulips in the park beside the tree.
I hear birds singing in the trees in spring.
I smell lots of flowers in the field.
I taste lots of vegetables in my house and hot chocolate during spring.
I touch melted chocolate because it's fun at Easter.
